SCOPE OF WORK

Renovation of an existing 75-year-old Temple Sanctuary, including interior and exterior finishes, lighting, new restroom facilities, and newly relocated administration offices in the Lower Sanctuary.

Renovation to Wolfson Auditorium and Kaplan Hall for increased seating; adaptive re-use of current administration offices into a child care facility; site improvements, including paving, fencing, and lighting.

Temple Israel was founded in 1922, and has been established in South Florida for almost (100) years. Chisholm Architects was asked to renovate retrofit the sanctuary and exterior façade and retrofit and adapt and reuse several areas of the building into an administrative office, meeting rooms, library ad large daycare facility. All of these required extensive as-built coordination, cost control, presentations, and approvals by the Board of Directors, and extensive coordination for a Direct Design and Construction process of an 80-year-old occupied campus.
